Shiemicka's Credentials

Shiemicka LaShanne, a graduate of Hunter College with a BA in Media and Theatre, has been competing in Pageants for more than 14 years. In addition to her academic studies, she has attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Weist-Barron School of Television and Penny Templeton Studios where she studied acting. Shiemicka is an actress and model who has appeared in many runway shows. She has appeared in numerous publications such as: Ebony Black Collegian Today's Black Woman Try It Yourself Hair Miss Joyce Fine Fashions
	A member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Actors Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) with credits including: Brown Sugar Celebrity One True Thing New York Undercover The Wire The Montell Williams Show Levi's Dockers Commercial Lifetime Promotional Sex and the City Guiding Light Stand-In work for Whitney Houston as well as many other assignments.

Although Shiemicka has started her own consulting company, from time to time she continues to compete at various levels. She has also judged numerous pageants: Miss Indiana Teen USA & Miss Indiana USA Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA & Miss Pennsylvania USA Miss Florida Belize Pageants Miss New Hampshire Teen USA & Miss New Hampshire USA She believes this is the best way to keep abreast of what it is that the judges are looking for.
